Sometimes, I wonder how movies get the green light? Do you ever wonder how a movie actually got the funding to be made? Well if you never have pondered that question, Grown Ups will change your train of thought.
Starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Salma Hayek and Rob Schneider Grown Ups is a movie about a group of childhood friends who get together as adults for their coaches funeral and subsequently spend the 4th of July weekend together.
I’ve lost over 100 minutes of my life that I can NEVER, EVER get back and you will too, if you decide to go see what is the worst movie this year! It’s like watching one long, home movie. You know the ones that your in-laws force upon you when they come back from holiday. Your sitting there wondering when will it end, or is there any chance of a power cut or will death come a bit early to put you out of your misery!
Maybe I’m being too harsh on this movie, but I really don’t know who it’s geared toward. Maybe some senile old folks in a home somewhere who are thankful for a few moving images with sound on a television.
There’s no story, there’s no laughs, there is nothing here. I hate to say, given there’s a pretty strong cast here, but DO NOT GO TO SEE THIS MOVIE. It’s pointless, meandering drivel and a more entertaining time is had by pushing a shopping trolley!
