Here is some pretty good news for Friday, movie wise at least. Currently, Christopher Nolan (Inception, Dark Knight etc) is on production duties for the next Superman movie. No director has been announced but the quest to find one has certainly kicked into gear. Names such as Tony Scott (Top Gun), Matt Reeves (Cloverfield), Zach Snyder and regular(ishish) interviewee on the Movie Bit, Duncan Jones (Moon) are names currently being tossed around.
Personally, I think Snyder or Jones could pull off an amazing Superman flick. Not to say Reeves or Scott would do a bad job or anything, but I do think Zach Snyder has one of the best visual “eyes” in Hollywood and Duncan Jones could certainly go down the dark and broody road, either of which is just what the doctor ordered for a new Superman movie.
Lets not take away from the fact the Bryan Singer did an OK job with Superman. Sure, there was more backstory than proper Superman action and thats what left the whole thing down, but none the less I did enjoy it!
Anyway, who do you think would not make a balls up of directing the next Superman flick?
