The first footage of DC Comic's Green Lantern film has premiered this morning, generously showing off all sorts of crazy, effects heavy set pieces. And I've got to say, they've pretty much sold me on Ryan Reynold's as the Green Lantern. He's always had that comic timing down perfectly, so now that he's ripped like a tank(!) his portrayal of the newest hero to hit our screens looks suitably badass indeed. Green Lantern's story centers on a test pilot who is granted other worldly powers to protect and keep the peace on planet Earth. The comic book flick is set to blast it's way into theaters Summer 2011.
