Avatar 3D breaks over 3 million in the Irish Box Office

James Cameron’s Avatar has pulled in a whopping €3.4 million since it’s release in Ireland. For anyone reading this from the land of team CoCo then that is chicken feed in comparison to the kind of money movies pull in, in the States. Very successful movie’s pull in around €2 million in the land of sheep, green fields and hiace vans.  Pixar’s UP pulled in over 4 million and that was the combined box office of the 3D version and the 2D version! I’d hazard a guess by next week, Avatar will have cleared the €4 million mark! I’d also hazard a guess that no other movie will come close in terms of moolah in the Irish box office, this year!
