Deadline Hollywood have an article about Robert De Niro moving back to his old agency, Creative Artists and within said article there are a few snippets about upcoming roles, including Midnight Run 2 which is in mid development apparently. And in between the bounty hunter goodness, there is also mention of De Niro taking on the role of George Wallace, who was the governor of Alabama and was a presidential candidate a number of times. Wallace was the guy who was in favour in keep segregation in Alabama and as the story goes, this in turn provoked the Martin Luther King’s famous marches in Alabama back in the 60’s. So finally a proper role for De Niro is my book is one of the greatest actors of all time, but over the last few years, he hasn’t broken a sweat in the acting capacity. So a role like this is long overdue for Bob!
