To the best of my knowledge (ie not googling) the last Popeye movie was on big screen’s everywhere back around 1980. It starred Robin Williams and I loved it! See I grew up idolising Popeye. I even ate Spinach and tried to run through walls and doors as I genuinely believed it would give me some form of super strength. Either way, it was an Epic fail!
Anyway, according to Variety a new Popeye flick is on the cards and it could well be a CGI movie and yes, in bloody 3D.
