James Cameron’s box office smash Avatar will have it’s sequel released in December 2012. Avatar 2 (Working Title) will be set between Pandora and it’s surrounding moons. Sam Worthington and the original cast member’s will make a return and representation on their behalf will soon start negotiating contracts. Given the enormous success at the box office of the original movie, it is expected that getting a better box office percentage will be top of their agenda. Very little is known about the plot, except part of the story will revolve around an unknown alien race who come from a nearby moon, looking to plunder Pandora’s supply of UnObtainium. Little is known about the new alien race except that they are miniscule in size, share a similar skin colour to the Na’Vi and all are dressed in a white hat or helmet and white pants uniform. Pre-viz has already started on the sequel and Cameron expects to start shooting in September this year.

UPDATE – Just got a mail through suggesting that this new Alien race appear in the original Avatar and will be quite visible on the DVD / Blu-Ray release. Someone who wishes to remain anonymous has sent the following still, with arrows pointing toward said Alien Race. Admittedly, without the arrows this new shower are pretty impossible to see. Anyway, judge for yourself!
