Lunatic at Large. It was originally written by Jim Thompson who worked with Stanley Kubrick on The Killing (Kubrick originally commissioned a treatment for Lunatic at Large) and Sam Rockwell and Scarlett Johansson are now attached in the lead role positions as according to Production Weekly it has been dug out of the mists of Kubrick time. It’s back on track after being discovered by Philip Hobbs, who is Kubricks son-in-law. No idea whether Fedoras and bull whips were used to find it!
The story revolves around an ex-carnie worker Johnnie Sheppard who has a few anger issues and meets Joyce who he gets involved with. One of the characters is quite possibly an escapee from an asylum. Finally something original to look forward to. And lets be honest, Rockwell does indeed Rock Well!
