Guillermo Del Toro is gone, Peter Jackson might direct if it means keeping the whole project alive but as it stands The Hobbit, which is in limbo due to the ongoing moolah hooplah at MGM, has no director. Well according to the rumour mill, David Yates (Yes the Harry Potter director, well Deathly Hallows, Half Blood Prince and Order of the Phoenix) could be up for the job! But given that the guy is in the midst of The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 he’s fairly busy at the moment, so who knows!
