According to HitFlix, who have recieved a statement from Marvel, Ed Norton will NOT be the Hulk in the forthcoming Avengers flick. Here’s the statement!
"We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in the Avengers. Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members. The Avengers demands players who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as evidenced by Robert, Chris H, Chris E, Sam, Scarlett, and all of our talented casts. We are looking to announce a name actor who fulfills these requirements, and is passionate about the iconic role in the coming weeks."
Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but is that not a huge side swipe at Norton. Is it not more or less saying Norton isn’t really a team player and has no passion for the role? Is this not the same Ed Norton, who if I recall correctly, put some of his own money into his Hulk movie? Is it not the same Ed Norton who believed so passionately in the Hulk movie that he pushed to make a new Hulk movie and release it, in what seemed like seconds after the Ang Lee movie was released. Well not seconds, but it’s not as if they waited too long! Anyway…..hhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm
