Gone Baby Gone proved that Ben Affleck is pretty handy behind a camera. Here is the trailer for his latest directorial effort, The Town, and it looks like reinforcing that belief.
Based on Chuck Hogan’s novel Prince of Thieves (not the Robin Hood one), it sees Affleck back in his familiar surrounds of Boston. This time he takes the lead as Doug MacRay, a bank robber who falls for the bank manager he once took hostage. As the pair get closer Doug much deal with his next big heist, his new love and the feds who are out to get him.
A strong supporting cast features Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Jeremy Renner, Pete Postlethwaite and Chris Cooper. The movie is out September 10th in the US with no word as to a European release.
