Ok, so this one isn’t as big as you might think, but Matt Reeves is raring to go for the sequel to what was, in my book, a brilliant flick. Reeves has been talking to the crowd at MTV and said "It really isn't the moment for [the sequel] to go any further than it has, but it continues to be a priority for both of us," Reeves said. "J.J. is very immersed in putting together 'Super 8.' He's... in pre-production and really, really passionately getting that together. And I'm passionately finishing 'Let Me In.'" Reeves also goes on to say that there is no connection between a Cloverfield Sequel and Super 8.
So, yeah…a sequel to Cloverfield, as if that wasn’t going to happen! Anyone care for a guess on a release date? With MIB 3, Spiderman lining up for Summer 2012, I’d throw my hat into the ring and speculate a monstrous showdown in 2 years!
