Well, not exactly, but our very own (we like to say that) Academy Award Winning Neil Jordan has signed has name to direct Skippy Dies which is based on a Paul Murray book. The story has nothing to do with Australia, nor is it the penultimate episode in the TV drama / comedy show. It’s a tale of two roomates in an Irish boarding college. And as things go in these places, one lad is being abused and dies and the other lad goes off and does a MacGuyver on it and tries to invent some way to contact his deceased friend! I’ve never read the book, but it sounds great and right up Neil Jordan’s alley.
