Yup, here’s something that nobody saw coming. James Cameron has bee involved with TV show’s in the past, namely Dark Angel and now he’s developing a TV version of True Lies for 20th Century Fox. The original movie is one of my favourite Arnie flicks. And even though it was released 16 years ago, Jamie Lee’s arse has always been etched in my mind.
Cameron is after hiring Dark Angel writer/executive producer Rene Echevarria to oversee the production of the whole thing. So, how can you make a TV series out of movie without the lead star and remain true to the original? Is it even possible. Nobody knows at this stage. It’s interesting timing though as Schwarzenegger is finished his role as the Governator this year. And what with him being good friends with James Cameron? Nah…no way! Arnie goes from big screen superstar to small screen superstar? Not with that ego! Although one would suspect a cameo or 2.
