The forthcoming 2012 Batman / Dark Knight movie will be called….wait for it….THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and it WON’T feature the Riddler. Who or what will be the villain remains to be seen. One name you could possibly make an argument is that of Harvery Dent, where in a past interview with the LA Times Nolan told Geoff Boucher that The Dark Knight title was as much about Harvey Dent as it was Batman. So, if the same logic was to be applied, Harvey Dent / Two Face is on the up. But that’s only a suggestion. The Dark Knight Rises will NOT be in 3D and instead Nolan will use Hi-Def cameras and IMAX cameras to shoot his third Batman movie. Many will recall the occasional image ratio change in the Dark Knight, using IMAX cameras and most agree that shooting like this was a fantastic move. I wonder how it bodes for 3D as a whole, when the third movie in an incredibly successful franchise is not going to be in the format.
