Rhys Ifans recently got cast in the Spiderman reboot being directed by Marc Webb. And now, according to The Wrap, Ifans will take on the role of Dr.Curt Connors who will be better known to the Spidey fans as The Lizard. For those not aware, Curt Connors was a pretty top notch surgeon who performed surgery on the battlefield and had to have his right arm amputated. Yup, those battlefields are dangerous!
Connors goes off and gets a little bit more than interested in reptilian limb regeneration and attempts to re-grow his own arm using reptilian DNA. And I’m sure you can guess the rest!
I really do think Ifan’s will make a superb bad guy.It’ll be interesting to see how this will work on screen. Prosthetics? CGI? Or a full mo-cap performance from Ifans! We’ll have to wait till Summer 2012 to find out.
