UPDATE 20:23 NORMAL SERVICE IS RESUMED - Calmness has descended again and the red mist has floated off..till the next time- Thanks for the words of support. Much appreciated!!!
UPDATE 18:46 – After staring at the screen here like a lunatic, I chanced my arm and deleted the audio specials post which was intensely heavy with images. Lo and behold, the problem has disappeared. Will get the specials back up minus graphics. Relief!!!
THE MOMENT WHERE THE BROWN STUFF HIT THE FAN
After much and frantic searching, the problem on the main page is a blogger pagination enforcement. From what I can make out, Google reduce their server load by limiting the amount of posts (using the Read More) on the main page. Essentially, what this means is, the design looks absolutely bloody awful and I can no longer post images in postings. Video clips seem unaffected. Moving forward, I don’t know what to do. I am looking at shifting to Wordpress but I’ve spent 6 years tinkering around with Blogger and know the software pretty well, so Wordpress would be a whole new ball game and I don’t have the time to invest in it. Either way, this is an almighty, depressing and hurtful kick to the balls. I spend upwards of 6 hours a day on this site, continually trying to improve it and make it more user friendly as well as all the social network integration, not to mention the article posting and so on.
At this particular moment in time, I really want to jack the whole thing in! I never saw this coming in a month of Sundays, and as it’s enforced on all blogger blogs there really is no way around it and I am at a loss as to what to do.
