Not even a shoddy 2D – 3D conversion, which put a serious dent into 3D’s respectability, could stop Clash of the Titans making plenty of dosh. And now, the sequel which may be called Wrath of the Titans, is underway and according to a tweet from Production Weekly, Warner Bros. are aiming at bringing on people like Javier Bardem and James Franco, who would play Agenor and War God Ares, respectively. Jonathon Liebesman (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING) is at the helm, and thankfully…what am I saying…they had no option but to shoot this one in 3D. Or face serious cinema going public wrath! The original movie wasn’t so bad, but I kept being distracted by the appalling 3D, or lack thereof. Whether or not Franco and Bardem fits the bill remains to be seen!
