Warner Bros. and MGM have announced that Cate Blanchett will be returning as Galadriel in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit, along with new cast members Ken Stott, Sylvester McCoy and Mikael Persbrandt. This news is the first indication as to how Jackson's flick could vary from the source material, as Blanchett's Galadriel doesn't appear in the book at all. Could this mean other members of the Lord Of The Rings cast will return, too? I was never too much of a fan, so please enlighten me as to whether or not other characters could return (if they were around during The Hobbit's time period).
