Hitfix has confirmed this week that Disney is planning to shoot Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 and 6 back-to-back in 2012. Director Rob Marshall (Nine, Memoirs Of A Geisha) is still hard at work on completing the franchise's 4th film, On Stranger Tides, so does this mean the studio suits are liking what they're seeing? It takes a lot of confidence to greenlight both flicks and have them made so quickly, so I'd take it as a good sign that things are shaping up fairly well in the editing room for Pirates 4.
