Hmm.
MTV got hold of a paparazzi shot today of Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man stunt double on set of Marc Webb's reboot. The reason I'm posting this right away, is I've got to get this off my chest. Since the unveiling of Garfield as Peter Parker, and the first glimpse at the costume, something has felt wrong to me. Don't get me wrong, Garfield is indeed an excellent choice for the brainy web-slinger, but the costume, man. Oh, the costume. So many burning questions spring to mind when I see this image; why is Spider-Man rocking some kind of red boot/Reebok hybrids? What's with the surgical-glove texture of the costume? Why are Spider-Man's eyes red? Why do I care this much? But the main thing that springs to mind (a question you guys feel free to answer in the comments below) is...are his web-shooters reminding anyone else of two shitty Rolex watches?
I know some people are really digging the new look. And I want to, too. Maybe I just need to see it in action. Check back for more information and photos from the set of Spider-Man as we get them!
