A 24 movie has been on the cards for quite some time now. Even before the show ended it's long run, there was speculation that as soon as Series 8 finished, Agent Jack Bauer would return on the big screen. Now, Entertainment Weekly has learned that 20th Century Fox have decided to pass on a script written by Billy Ray (State Of Play, Flightplan). The project is being overseen by producer/director Tony Scott and there is talks of a re-approach to the script. However, it's unlikely at this stage that a 24 movie will hit theaters (if it actually gets made) until at least 2012, as a new script will have to be written if theres any hope for getting the adaptation on screen.
