So the Globes are over and done with and thanks to Ricky Gervais for keeping us all awake! Gervais was on absolute fire at the Globes and took a pop at everyone from Bruce Willis to a famous Scientologist. He did disappear for quite some time after taking a brilliant pop at the Hollywood Foreign Press head honcho, who came out with a scowl and more or less told Gervais to go to hell, withdrawing support for him and his films. I’m sure it was all a joke. Speaking of jokes, Christian Bale, Al Pacino and Colin Firth all walk into a barbers…
The acceptance speeches were the usual drivel with the exception of De Niro who was just brilliant and Christian Bale more or less stayed on stage shouting his arse off as the Orchestra played furiously. And lets not forget Robery Downey Jr. annoucing he would do a selection of the fine ladies on stage, in front of his wife. No big surprises I guess, Firth, Social Network, Bale, Toy Story 3 all predictably winning. There’s a few videos (as long as they last) below and are followed by the winners list. I hopefully should have better audio on the radio show tonight!
