Some deliciously geeky details here for Spider-Man fans; actress Emma Stone confirmed to MTV last night, at the Golden Globes no less; that the new Spider-Man will in fact have mechanical web shooters. Sticking with the comic book, it looks like Peter will use his scientific mind to create his famous mode of transport, unlike the previous trilogy where it, er, sprayed..out of him. First the alterations to the costume, now this. Marc Webb really seems to be trying to make a distinctly different flick. Whether or not it'll kick as much ass as Spider-Man 2, remains to be seen.
