Park Chan-Wook, the Korean director of Oldboy and Thirst, has shot his next film on the iPhone 4. That's according to the The Wall Street Journal. The 30-minute short, entitled Paranmanjang (Korean for 'Ups and Downs') is a mystical fantasy centering on an old fisherman who one night catches a woman's body in his net. After trying to free the body, he faints, only to wake up in the woman's clothing. The film then shifts to the mysterious woman's perspective, where it becomes more of a life-and-death tale. Sounds intriguing to me. An amazing director working with a state-of-the-art camera phone? Sign me up!
