Sad news this week, as legendary cinema composer John Barry has died of a heart attack in New York. The winner of five Academy Awards and the creator of the famous James Bond theme, Barry's other works included From Russia With Love, Midnight Cowboy, Dances With Wolves and Zulu. The composer also did the music for the Jeff Bridges remake of King Kong in 1976, which is a particular guilty pleasure of mine. Rather than be saddened by the news, I suggest we all bask in the great music he's created over the last 40 years, so, fittingly, here's the James Bond theme.
