Rob Zombie cannot catch a break. With House Of 1,000 Corpses; people hated it. With The Devil's Rejects; people largely hated it. With Halloween; people hated it. With Halloween 2; man, did people hate it. The musician turned director recently caught up with Empire to chat about his next project, The Lords Of Salem. During the interview, Zombie makes a point saying, "It's only gonna get worse!", with regards to the tone of his films. He also offers up a synopsis of the new film, "There were twenty people that everyone knows about - obviously all innocent - executed as witches in Salem". He adds, "The basic premise of the film is that there were a further four who actually were witches, who were killed secretly, and vowed one day to return to wreak havoc on Salem's descendants. That's when the movie jumps ahead to the present day and things start to go wrong...".
Personally, although I disliked 3 of his films, I thoroughly enjoyed (maybe that's the wrong word) The Devil's Rejects and I'm excited to see how this turns out!
