Peter Jackson finally hit record today on The Hobbit in Wellington, New Zealand. After much delays, the two movies costing about $500 million, have finally begun.
For those wondering will this be another movie about walking, only kidding, Bilbo Baggins goes off to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which has recently been acquired by a bad ass dragon who has the name Smaug on his passport.
Martin Freeman reprises the Bilbo role as Ian McKellen does Gandalf. Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis among others will also make appearances. The 2 Hobbit movies will hit big screens at some point in the latter half of 2012 and 2013. To keep you drooling here’s a few pics…
