No! Not that Gambit, but the Coen Brothers version of the 1966 Gambit (and no, I’ve never seen it) which see’s a hapless duo devise a scheme to con England's richest man, who happens to be an art collector. The scheme? Convince Alan Rickman’s character to buy a fake Monet painting. How? Use Cameron Diaz to pose as a woman whose grandfather saved the painting at the end of WW2. Sounds intriguing enough for me to have a root around for the original.
