File this under "saw this coming" as we now learn that Orlando Bloom, who arguably hit the big time as Goldilocks Legolas in the Lord of the Rings series, will be returning to Middle Earth for Peter Jackson's long awaited Hobbit movie. He'll be joining returning stars Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellen, Ian Holm and Hugo Weaving alongside the new hobbit Martin Freeman and, according to imdb, maybe even LEONARD NEMOY as Smaug, the dragon with all the gold.
If you can't wait that long to hear Nemoy voice something big and dangerous, he's also a Transformer this year. As for Bloom, it's unsure how big his role will be, but it wouldn't be a stretch to expect him in both Hobbit movies. The Hobbit part 1 opens December 2012.
