It appears The Matrix star Keanu Reeves may go from one Japanese remake to another, as Heat Vision have received word that Warner Bros. is strongly considering the actor for one of the two lead roles in Akira, a character named Kaneda. Akira, to be directed by Albert Hughes (From Hell, The Book Of Eli), is the live-action remake of the beloved 1988 Japanese Anime. The studio have gone through a plethora of A-list actors and are now focusing on one of their own. Although it's not official, considering Reeves relationship with Warner Bros (he's headlined at least 4 blockbusters for them already, not to mention the upcoming 3D epic 47 Ronin), I'd imagine this will become official any day now.
