April 6th (via /film) will see the release of the movie, which will no doubt absolutely rake in the cash. And why not? The original was an enormous success and definitely the type of movie that shines on the big screen. It's quite easy to forget that aside from the big romance, Titanic is a hugely impressive film with some stunning set pieces. Of course, there would be the concern that this is just a lazy cash-in and whilst cash-in it may do, I don't think lazy would be applicable. After all, this is Jim 3D Cameron we're talking about, not Clash of the Titans 2 - if anybody can post-convert a movie into 3D properly, it's this guy.
