With production starting next week it's no surprise we have casting news for Len Wiseman's version of Total Recall, starring Colin Farrell in the lead role. Via Collider we now know that Jessica Biel will be playing Melina, and Kate Beckinsale will be taking on the role of Lori, previously played by SHARON STONE* in the Arnie movie. It's a shame they're all so ugly, isn't it.We already know that Brian Cranston of Breaking Bad will play the villain, and apparently Mars is not a feature of this movie which will be more in tune with the original Phillip K. Dick novel (that's why I said 'version' - there's every chance it won't be anything at all like the Arnie movie, so it's not really a remake) and things are looking pretty good. I loved Die Hard 4.0, which was directed by Wiseman, and whilst she's usually in some terrible schlock, Beckinsale has a serious charm. Biel will be in a presumably more 'tough woman' role seeing as that's her default setting. Total Recall is out August 3rd, 2012.
*Incidentally, Sharon Stone is due a big comeback. I know she got something like 16million for Basic Instinct 2 so hardly needs the cash, but seriously.
