The buzz for Nicholas Winding-Refn’s new film Drive, starring Ryan Gosling as a getaway driver, is massive, with a great reaction at a number of festivals both for the director and cast. It’s certainly good news for the Bronson director, who is looking to bigger films next. He’s long been attached to the new version of Logan’s Run, again with Gosling, but /film report that he has been talking (again) about his dream project, a Wonder Woman movie.
He says that should he do it, he’d cast Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks, who has a role in Drive too. Hendricks is not only incredibly beautiful but a great actress too, and would be a brilliant fit for wonder woman if it actually went ahead. It’s all speculative now, but at the same time you can’t deny it sounds very plausible, considering Warner Bros. are already working with Refn for Logan’s Run and he has a passion for the project. Watch this space, I say.
