The Hobbit continues with casting announcements as production gets properly going in New Zealand – with two new members of the cast apparently rounding off the main lineup for the December 2012 movie.
Peter Jackson has announced that Dame Edna Everage himself, Barry Humphries, will play the role of the Goblin king much in the way Andy Serkis plays Gollum, whilst Evangeline Lilly (Lost) is Tauriel, a woodland elf. Recently two we heard that Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) will voice the dragon Smaug. Whilst I still miss the idea of Guillermo Del Toro directing, this is looking like it’s going to be fantastic. The first of two Hobbits is out December 2012.
