After Micheal Fassbender pulled out of Danny Boyle’s Trance, a mysterious heist thriller, James McAvoy took his place but there was little in the way of other casting news. However slashfilm have some more info on the film, due for release in early 2013.
They say that at the moment, Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson are both being courted for big roles, in a film which apparently revolves around an art-heist mastermind who loses his memory. McAvoy would play that role, with Firth the leader of the gang who plan to do the heist. Johansson, if she signs on, will play a hypnotist. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? Firth and McAvoy are proven talents and Johansson seems to be gravitating towards more mainstream exciting fare of late, so this all looks good.
