In a rapid amount of time, Legendary Pictures has become a big hitter in Hollywood, financing all sorts of huge movies including The Dark Knight, The Hangover and Inception (to name a few). They’re really making a name for themselves and this won’t stop anytime soon now that they’re taking their wares to Comic-Con 2011 (via /film).
And they aren’t messing about either – they’re bringing Guillermo Del Toro and cast for Pacific Rim, Jeff Bridges for Seventh Son, Bradley Cooper and Alex Proyas for Paradise Lost and even the writers of the upcoming Mass Effect movie. Of course, they are also financing The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel, meaning that despite initial word, those movies may indeed get some exposure at the con (although we all know how strict Nolan is with releasing stuff). They’re also working on Jack & The Giant Killer, Wrath of the Titans, the prequel to 300, and Godzilla, so they could have some more surprises lined up! Either way, it’s fantastic news for the con and for us – and you’ll be able to get all the new info AS IT HAPPENS from Ferg who’ll be at the con himself. Wahey!!
