I’m a huge fan of Aardman Animation. I’ve always loved Wallace & Gromit and their features have been great too, even Flushed Away which wasn’t the hit that they had hoped for. After that movie, Dreamworks & Aardman had an amicable split, meaning that their intended next movie, caveman story The Croods,went into Dreamworks hands and is set for 2013. However Aardman signed a new deal with Sony and got to work on two movies, Arthur Christmas, due out in December, and Pirates, out next year.
Like buses, trailers for the two movies have arrived together so check them out below – if you’re a fan of their back catalogue there’s an awful lot to like here, and the craft involved is still mind-bogglingly impressive.
