Warner Bros. studio are currently in talks with several high profile directors about helming a new version of the classic 1950's Television series, The Twilight Zone. Among those in talks; Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight), Rupert Wyatt (Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes), Alfonso Cuaron (Children Of Men), Michael Bay (Transformers) and David Yates (Harry Potter). Apparently Nolan is frontrunner for the job and as his relationship with the studio is so good (WB is home for Batman), it's essentially his for the taking.
The studio is also keen on keeping this centered on one story, rather than an anthology like the 1983 film. So, are you excited about a new Twilight Zone? Me? Hell yes. I just recently picked up the original series on Blu-Ray. With the visuals and technology available today, an update could be stunning.
