The cast of Rob Zombie's latest production is growing like a festering infection on a corpse. Mmm, lovely. Zombie announced today that Dee Wallace (Halloween, The Howling) will join the previously cast Bruce Dern, Jeff Philips, Meg Foster and Ernest Thomas in The Lords Of Salem. The film, which begins principal photography next month, is about a local DJ who accidentally releases a hellish curse on the town of Salem. And four witches, burned and crucified 300 years earlier, are back for revenge on the ancestors of those who persecuted them.
Sounds good. I'm a big fan of Zombie's The Devil's Rejects and I even liked House Of 1,000 Corpses, but his work on Halloween and Halloween 2 was the work of an amateur horror geek, so here's hoping The Lords Of Salem is a solid horror.
