With David Cronenberg's A Dangerous Method about to be released and Cosmopolis on the horizon, the director sat down with STYD and discussed his upcoming projects. No, not the previously mentioned movies, but instead The Fly 3 (yeah, there's a second one, not directed by Cronenberg) and Eastern Promises 2. On a possible sequel to The Fly, Cronenberg says, "It's not exactly a remake; it's sort of a sequel, kinda. I've written a script of that but I don't know if it's going to really happen. That has to do with Fox...". And then on the topic of Eastern Promises 2, Cronenberg explains, "It's possible. Steve Knight wrote it, and he's now writing a second draft and Focus Features are interested. We'll see".
So, which would you prefer to see? Personally, I'd just like to see Cronenberg tackle material along the lines of Shivers and Rabid again. Bring the body horror, David!
