Alexander Payne hasn’t directed a feature film in a long time – his last was the hugely popular Sideways – so that would be reason enough for people to anticipate his latest feature, The Descendants. The fact that it’s been getting fantastic, awards-centric buzz only serves to make it more exciting prospect.
George Clooney plays a successful property developer in Hawaii trying to cope with a seriously ill wife and rebuild his relationship with his kids too.
