When it came out, it was one of my favourite comedies for years, and it still is. That said, I’m not entirely sure about a sequel to Dumb & Dumber. The Farrelly brothers are now set to crack on with a sequel to the 1994 original, once they’ve finished up with The Three Stooges (which is due out next Summer). Who knows where the story could go? Or even if Jim Carrey or Jeff Daniels would come on board. Presumably, for this to work, they would have to. Given the recent push in Hollywood for a younger audience, one wonders (ohh how posh) if doing a sequel to a movie nearly 20 years old would be a wise move.
