Despicable Me was a surprise hit for Illumination Entertainment, who scored big with their Steve Carell-starring animation. It managed to stand out by looking spectacular and completely different from other animated fare, and they’ve promply set to work on a sequel. Before that, though, they’re releasing their adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.
As you can see from the trailer below, it has a lot in common visually with Despicable Me, but that’s no bad thing. It looks hugely promising and incredibly vibrant, and who doesn’t want to see Danny DeVito play a little orange fur-thing?
