California-based video rental company, Netflix, has announced they're planning to move to Ireland and the UK in early 2012. The billion-dollar company announced earlier this year that it's plans to integrate the European market would commence country by country until all EU states are using the service. Netflix Ireland and UK will be the first EU countries to get the online service of both Instant stream & regular Netflix. It's interesting to note that in July Netflix increased it's subscription charges, resulting in a massive decline in it's share pricing. Almost instantaneously, the company reversed the move in a quick bit of damage control.
I wonder how it will do here? Personally, I think this is wonderful news.
