Pride and Prejudice and Zombies seems to be dying a very slow death, with every high profile young actress in Hollywood from Scarlett Johansson to Blake Lively turning it down, but it’s not all bad news for Austen fans.
Slashfilm report that Nora Ephron, one of the queens of the Hollywood romantic comedy, is helming Lost In Austen, an adaptation of a 2008 British tv show in which a young girl ends up in the middle of Pride & Prejudice. It’s a pretty cool twist on the story, and one that certainly has more universal appeal than zombies, especially with Ephron at the reins. There’s no cast yet, but with Ephron attached expect things to move pretty quickly.
