Owen Wilson has spilled the beans on Zoolander 2. The sequel to the 2001 original has been in the works for a while now, but it would appear that production is steadily gathering pace. In an interview with MTV, Wilson reveals that his character Hansel "he's fallen on hard times. There's been a disfiguring injury. Think Vanilla Sky."
The original Zoolander saw the titular male model, played by actor/director Ben Stiller, a "ridiculously good looking" (and ridiculously clueless) brainwashed to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia. While it didn't set the box office alight, the first movie is one of those rare comedies that you'd like to see a sequel to. Speaking to Empire earlier in the year Stiller revealed "Then there are things set up at the end of the first movie that we’re able to build on, like Derek and Matilda have a son, and Mugatu went to jail. There’s a lot there, I’m excited about the idea of doing it. It feels like it’s getting close to going.”
Hopefully we'll see Blue Steel back on the screen in 2012.
