With the new bond movie Skyfall well into production it seems Ben Whishaw could be installed as the new Q taking over from John Cleese, who in turn took over from the late great, Desmond Llewelyn. Whishaw is best known for his role as Sebastien in Brideshead Revisited. The choice of actor for the role could come as something of a surprise considering the actors he is replacing in the role. With more youthful Q in tow the movie could well have a few modern spy toys which will appeal to a younger audience, in addition it could suggest that the actor will appear in future instalments. Ben has shared screen time with Craig before in Layercake and is considered hot property as a new up and coming actor. The movie has began shooting in the world famous Pinewood Studios with a release expected for October 2012, Sam Mendes is on board to direct, familiar faces such as Daniel Craig will be joining the new Q and Dame Judi Dench reprising her role as M.
