Well, not exactly. Russell Brand has signed on to not only star, but also produce The President Stole My Girlfriend. The Arthur star spoke to THR saying “"In this movie, the president steals the girlfriend of a sexy hippie—me, obviously. It was inspired by the night I naively invited [Warners president] Jeff Robinov for dinner."
And that’s it, in a nutshell, but at least it still shows Brand has a hold on Hollywood after a misfire with Arthur. That said, the guy is genuinely hilarious. I still can watch Get Him To The Greek and wet myself on at least 3 occasions. Brand is also pencilled in to star in Rock of Ages alongside some folks called Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin. Whoever they are.
