Variety are reporting that Alice Eve is the latest cadet to sign up for the sequel to the 2009 smash hit. According to Variety, Eve is set to play someone new to the Star Trek universe. Eve was last seen on the big screen in a bit part in Sex and the City 2, but she has a number of high profile releases coming up including roles in Men in Black III and John Cusack’s The Raven. Her casting comes within weeks of Benicio del Toro’s casting as the films main villain.
Director Abrams and cast are keeping typically tight lipped on the sequel, and with the film not due until May 17th 2013 we could have a while to wait for any concrete information.
